Privacy Policy for Podernize.

1. Overview

Podernize turns written material into podcast-style audio for study, listening, organization, and sharing. This Privacy Policy applies to the Podernize mobile app, public web pages, support channels, account flows, shared links, subscriptions, and related services.

If you do not want information handled as described here, do not use Podernize. The Terms of Use describe the rules for using the service.

2. Information we collect

We may collect account information such as email address, user ID, display name, profile photo, authentication provider, and account settings. We may collect content you upload, generate, save, publish, or share, including PDFs, text, research reports, images, audio, titles, descriptions, episode metadata, series metadata, thumbnails, public links, and profile information.

We may collect product interaction data, playback state, queue and library activity, share-attribution metadata, search and discovery interactions, follow or social graph information, moderation reports, block actions, support messages, subscription status, purchase history, entitlement state, push notification tokens, device identifiers, crash data, performance data, and other diagnostic data needed to operate and secure the service.

3. Sources of information

We collect information directly from you, from your device, from your use of the app and web pages, from generated service logs, from app stores and payment entitlement providers, from authentication providers, and from users who interact with your public content or report content for review.

4. How we use information

We use information to create and manage accounts, authenticate users, process uploads, generate podcast-style audio and related metadata, store and serve content, sync playback and library state, route shared links, provide public discovery, process subscriptions, restore purchases, send operational notifications, provide support, investigate bugs, prevent abuse, and improve Podernize.

We also use information to measure product reliability, understand feature usage, debug crashes and performance issues, enforce the Terms of Use, respond to legal requests, review safety and rights reports, and protect users and the service.

5. AI and content processing

When you upload documents, enter text, create research reports, generate audio, or request metadata, Podernize may process your content with automated systems and third-party AI, storage, and text-to-speech providers. This processing is used to provide the requested feature, improve reliability, moderate abuse, troubleshoot failures, and support your account.

Do not upload confidential, regulated, or sensitive third-party information unless you have permission and a lawful basis to process it through Podernize.

6. How information is shared

Public profiles, public episodes, public series, thumbnails, metadata, and share links may be visible to other users and to people outside Podernize. Direct sharing, following, blocking, reports, and moderation actions may reveal limited information needed to provide those features.

We may share information with service providers that help us operate Podernize, including hosting, database, storage, cloud functions, AI processing, text-to-speech, authentication, app distribution, subscriptions, analytics, attribution, crash reporting, diagnostics, and support providers.

7. Third-party providers

Podernize may use Firebase and Google Cloud for authentication, database, cloud functions, storage, analytics, messaging, and infrastructure; RevenueCat for subscription entitlement management; Apple App Store for app distribution and purchases; Sentry for crash and performance monitoring; AppsFlyer for attribution if enabled; and Apple or supported third-party sign-in where available.

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control app-store billing records, device settings, or provider systems outside Podernize.

8. Selling, sharing, and tracking

Podernize does not sell personal information. Podernize does not use personal information for cross-app tracking unless we first make the required disclosures and obtain any consent required by applicable law or platform rules.

Some analytics or attribution tools may use device or product interaction data to measure app installs, feature use, or campaign performance. You may be able to limit tracking, analytics, notifications, or advertising identifiers through your device settings.

9. Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide Podernize, maintain your account and content, support subscriptions, operate public links, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our Terms, prevent abuse, and maintain backups and security records.

If you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify account information where required, but some records may remain for billing, security, legal, backup, anti-abuse, support, or app-store reconciliation purposes.

10. Your choices

You can manage account details, public sharing, notification permissions, device permissions, and subscriptions through the app, your device settings, and your app store account. You can request account deletion or privacy support by contacting support@podernize.com.

App-store subscriptions must be cancelled from the app store account used to purchase them. Deleting your Podernize account does not automatically cancel a subscription.

11. Privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You may also have rights to opt out of certain sale, sharing, or targeted advertising uses. Podernize does not sell personal information.

To make a privacy request, contact support@podernize.com with the email address connected to your Podernize account. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

12. Children

Podernize is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information to Podernize, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

13. Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, and alteration. No online service, storage system, network, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

14. International transfers

Podernize is operated from the United States, and information may be processed in the United States and other countries where Podernize and its service providers operate. Those countries may have privacy laws that differ from the laws where you live.

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the last-updated date and may provide additional notice in the app, on the website, or by other reasonable means.
